Just a couple corrections. Mr.Mercer was born January 31, 1910. It is recorded in birth records in Greene County,mIndiana under his true name Winfield B. Mercer.
Also, he was born in Worthington, Indiana. There is quite a bit of documentation for this, besides the birth records, such as him saying it in a 1976 interview and on his marriage license, etc.. …
