Atul Wassan Controversy
Indian cricket fans were excited to see their favorite player in the blue jersey again. According to BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jai Shah, MS Dhoni’s track record in ICC events is impressive and his skills and understanding will be beneficial to the team.
Though it was widely believed that Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri were at their best, former Indian cricketer Atul Wasan said during a debate on a TV show that the BCCI had approached Dhoni to restore balance. It is dealt with as requested.
He also alleged that Virat and Ravi were completely responsible for Indian cricket, forcing the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to bring in the former captain. On the captaincy story, Atul believes the selectors have made the right decision in naming Rohit Sharma as India’s ODI captain.
He also addressed the controversy surrounding Kohli’s dismissal as captain, claiming that when a cricketer plays a lot of cricket and is seen as a demigod by his followers, they expect special treatment. He does what he considers to be a fix.
A player shouldn’t have unrealistic expectations for the board, in Atul Wassan’s opinion, and should accept any tasks or lessons that are given to him.
