His first-class career began in 1989/90 and lasted seventeen seasons (1990–91 to 2005–06). In the Pepsi Cup tri-nations competition in Pune in 1999, he made his ODI debut with a quickfire 57 off 45 balls against Sri Lanka. In 1999, he played 10 of his 12 ODIs.
He was included in the Indian team list for the 1999 World Cup but was unlucky to play in any matches at the tournament.
In 2001, he returned to ODI by playing two more matches against Sri Lanka in an unsuccessful trio. He never played for India again.
Amay Khurasiya Retirement
Amay announced his retirement from first-class Cricket on 22 April 2007 after being kicked out of the Madhya Pradesh Ranji team. He told reporters he will continue to serve the games as a coach. He is the third-level coach of Madhya Pradesh.
